Supreme court has fixed July 13 as next date of hearing in the Babri Masjid-Ram Temple land dispute case. The apex court is hearing the 13 appeals filed against the 2010 judgement of the Allahabad High Court that had mandated 3-way division of the disputed site.
The hearing on the Ayodhya dispute going on in the Supreme Court once again got adjourned. On Friday, the court has now decided to hear the case on July 13. Earlier on May 17, Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, the bench of Justice Ashok Bhushan and SA Nazir had adjourned the case till July 6. On May 17, it was argued by the Muslim parties that the 1994 Ismail issue objected to some findings in Farooqui’s case. It has been said that reading Namaz in the mosque is not an integral part of Islam.
Even on Friday, the Muslim side was protesting against the backs of three judges that in Farooqi case it was wrong that the mosque is not part of Islam, namaz can be read anywhere, even in open ground. Justice Bhushan asked, “Is it okay that the mosque is part of Islam but is it only part of Islam to read in the Namaz mosque?”
The Muslim side had last said that in such a situation, this decision needs to be tested again. This matter should be referred to the constitutional bench. The Hindu side had argued that the issue was in relation to land acquisition. The current case title dispute is. In such a case, there is nothing to do with this matter. Therefore, the matter should not be referred to the constitutional bench.
