Hours after the Government of India, withdrew status of the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) to Pakistan, main opposition party Congress came in full support of the government and said that “this is a time of sadness and mourning,” and the party “stands in full support of jawans and their families.”
Speaking to media in Delhi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said, “it is a terrible tragedy and the aim is to divide the nation,” but “we are all standing together with our jawans.”
This is a terrible attack, this type of violence is disgusting. Terrorism tries to divide the nation, we can’t be divided by any power. The entire opposition is with security forces and the government,” he added.
“I am hurt”, said Rahul during the conference, refusing to answer contentious issues.
