Lucknow, July 13, 2025: On Saturday, July 12, the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) organized a unique and inclusive event titled “Muslim Dialogue: Issues and Solutions” at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scientific Convention Center in Lucknow. The event was presided over by the party’s National President and Member of Parliament, Advocate Chandrashekhar Azad, who was the chief guest.

Attended by a large gathering from across Uttar Pradesh, the event witnessed participation from various working-class professionals, artisans, laborers, and community organization representatives from the Muslim community. The program stood out as one of the first of its kind where a political platform focused not just on votes, but on the occupational and societal challenges faced by the Muslim community in their daily lives.
In his address, Chandrashekhar Azad urged the Muslim community to align with the Azad Samaj Party and expressed concern over increasing threats to the religious freedom of minorities in India. He remarked, “The attack on Waqf is just the beginning — others like Jains, Christians, and people from other religions could be next. When roads are blocked for a month-long Kanwar Yatra, it’s accepted, but for Eid prayers, even one step onto the street brings a police deployment.”

Azad emphasized that this dialogue marks the beginning of a broader socio-political movement, not just a one-day event. Referring to the popular phrase, “Muskuraiye, aap Lucknow mein hain”, he said, “Today, there is neither a reason to smile nor the freedom to cry in Lucknow.” He further assured that the party’s election manifesto would prominently include the concerns of the Muslim community, including Waqf-related issues.
He also announced that the distribution of party tickets—for both assembly and panchayat elections—will be based on the principle, “Jiski jitni sankhya bhaari, uski utni hissedari” (proportional representation based on population). Azad added that after this Muslim dialogue, similar events will be organized for Dalit and backward communities.

Appealing to the audience, he said, “Do not waste your energy merely in defeating the BJP—channel your strength into electing a sympathetic and representative party like Azad Samaj Party.”
Dr. Mohammad Aqib, the program convenor, expressed heartfelt thanks to all the guests and party workers for making the event a success. He specially thanked the National President for his visionary leadership focused on the upliftment of marginalized communities. Highlighting the importance of education, Dr. Aqib urged attendees to prioritize learning for achieving social, political, and economic empowerment.

Representatives from various social and trade organizations who spoke at the event were also appreciated, and Dr. Aqib assured them that their concerns would be sincerely addressed through appropriate platforms under the leadership of the party.

The program was also addressed by Justice B.D. Naqvi, UP State President Sunil Kumar Chittor, Bihar President Johar Azad, Jharkhand President Kashif Raza, and other key leaders including Sultan Ahmad, Ehsan Qureshi, and Gulzar Ahmad. The proceedings were conducted by Saurabh Kishore.
The event was marked by deep engagement and discussions, aiming to chart a new course for political representation rooted in social justice, equality, and community empowerment.
