Even as Sandip Ssingh, the producer of upcoming biopic on Narendra Modi, disclosed on Monday that he would be rapping in a track, NaMo NaMo, for the movie, social media users threw him back to the time when he had been accused of sexual assaulting a younger boy at a beach resort in Mauritius in March last year.
“Sandip Ssingh, producer of PM Modi’s biopic, accused of sexual assault against a minor boy in Mauritius. This is the reality of Bhakts,” commented a Twitter user.
DNA had reported last year that Ssingh had allegedly assaulted a minor boy from Switzerland at a hotel in Mauritius in March last year, following which the father of the victim raised a hue and cry with the hotel management.
The incident reportedly took place on March 29 around the midnight hours at Beachcomber Family Hotel, Troux aux Biches on the island nation.
“He apparently befriended the boy at the hotel’s beach, and talked about movies and music while walking along the beach. Later, both are said to have gone to Singh’s room where he forced the boy,” the report in DNA, dated April 6, 2018, stated.
The same report mentioned that he flew out of the country back to India the next day, on March 30, on a Air Mauritius flight.
The Vivek Oberoi-starrer biopic on Modi is slated to release on April 5, six days before voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 11.
