PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti is finding it difficult to keep her flock together with three MLAs openly revolting and five more expressing interest in an alternate coalition. The criticism triggered speculation of a possible PDP split, but Congress and BJP have denied that they were making attempts to form another government in J&K
Congress chief Ghulam Ahmad Mir said his party was not interested in forming an alliance government in the state, while former deputy CM Kavinder Gupta said there was no question of BJP forming a government after quitting one recently.
However, PDP was facing convulsions with Tangmarg MLA Abbas Wani claiming ‘not a single MLA’ in the party is happy and ‘feeling choked’ after death of Mufti Sayeed. Wani said the PDP leadership had failed and was responsible for collapse of the alliance.
