Lucknow : The UPCC on Monday termed as the dictatorial attitude of Yogi Government the arrest of state unit Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu, MP PL Punia, party general secretary Manoj Yadav, Rakesh Sachan and hundred other workers who were protesting outside the Raj Bhawan here, seeking the restoration of democracy in Rajasthan.
UPCC chief Ajay Kumar Lallu said that the way the elected government is being destabilized in Rajasthan, it is dangerous for democracy. The BJP’s Central government is hell bent upon killing democracy across the country.
UPCC chief Lallu said that such criminal attempts have been made in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Goa in the past. Power hungry BJP had organised oath taking ceremony at 6 am by setting aside parliamentary traditions. But the move boomeranged there. Dangerous efforts are on to repeat the same in Rajasthan.
Lallu said that the BJP does not care even a hoot about the healthy democratic traditions of the country. Parliamentary norms are being throttled, which is quite ominous for the country’s democracy.
Rajya Sabha MP PL Punia said that whatever is happening in Rajasthan is very unfortunate and condemnable. BJP is indulging in the crime of destabilising democratically elected government, which is an affront to the nation and the people’s mandate.
In the statement, general secretary Rakesh Sachan said that the BJP has lost its sense due to power and is leaving nothing unturned to finish the healthy and glorious democratic traditions of the country. Many governments were seen coming and going, but such bizarre situations were never witnessed.
